This website is owned and operated by Alexander Jose Vega. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors private transportation services throughout Costa Rica, Private Accommodations in Sabanilla, Alajuela, Costa Rica, and Pro Photo & Video Services. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Image & Video Usage

When booking transportation or Pro Photo & Video services with Waking Dreams Costa Rica, we reserve the right to use the footage and photos taken on the trip for our website and social media purposes. If you wish to not have your photo or video displayed on our website or social media, please write us at info@wakingdreamscostarica.com or via text message, stating that you would not like us to use your images or video and we will be happy to respect your wishes. Thank you!  

Privacy Policy

We receive, collect any information you enter on our website or provide us to facilitate your transportation or Pro Photo & Video session. In addition, we collect the e-mail address used when booking or subscribing; and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page to help us understand how clients are responding to our website. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name and email); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, via Wix, Acuity scheduling and Paypal.

When booking our accommodations via Airbnb, you adhere to their website privacy policy. 

When you write a review on Trip Advisor, you adhere to their website privacy policy. 

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services;

  2. To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To measure the performance of the website and pages.
     

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

By booking with Waking Dreams Costa Rica you give consent to charge your credit card in accordance with the policies detailed below. The charge will appear on your statement as “Waking Dreams Costa Rica”.

Payments

All prices are expressed in U.S. dollars. Reservations must be paid in advance to ensure availability. All charges are processed at the time of booking, and refunds are handled according to this policy.

Booking Policies

All reservations must be made through our website www.wakingdreamscostarica.com or by sending an email to info@wakingdreamscostarica.com

Payment must be made at the time of booking. By proceeding with payment, the Client confirms having reviewed and approved the details and dates of the contracted services.

Identification

Our staff may request valid identification. If the name on the ID does not match the reservation, we reserve the right to refuse service.

Cancellation Policy – Private Transfers

  • Any modification must be requested at least 24 hours in advance by email and is subject to availability.

  • For cancellations, an email must be sent to info@wakingdreamscostarica.com at least 48 hours before the service. A full refund will be issued minus a 5% processing fee.

  • If a discount was applied and the service is canceled, the benefit is revoked, and the 5% will be deducted from the refund.

  • During high season (November 20 to January 7), a minimum of 72 hours' notice is required to receive a full refund, minus the 5% card processing fee.

  • If a modification implies a refund, the 5% card processing fee will apply.

  • No-shows are considered cancellations and are non-refundable.

  • If a flight is delayed and arrival is on the same day, the airport transfer will be rescheduled at no additional cost. If the delay is not communicated in time, the reservation will be considered abandoned.

Changes and Adjustments

Changes to services are allowed up to 24 hours in advance. Any additional fee or condition imposed by third parties will be the Client’s responsibility and is beyond Waking Dreams Costa Rica’s control. Changes within 24 to 48 hours must be requested via email and are subject to availability or confirmation of additional payment if there are price adjustments. By making payment, the Client confirms that all information is correct.

 

Waking Dreams Costa Rica is not responsible for delays caused by force majeure, such as accidents, medical emergencies, mechanical failures, extreme weather conditions, etc. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as missed connections or canceled accommodations due to delays. In the event that the contracted service is not provided, a 100% refund will be offered, within the established limits.

 

Travel insurance covering cancellations for any reason is strongly recommended.

Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk

The Client agrees that using the services offered by Waking Dreams Costa Rica is at their own risk. The company is not responsible for any situations arising from the use of services contracted on www.wakingdreamscostarica.com

Abandoned Reservation

A reservation is considered abandoned if the driver is unable to locate the passenger at the pickup point and cannot contact them using the provided phone number within a reasonable time frame.

Last-Minute Bookings

Requests made less than 24 hours in advance are considered last-minute. Availability is not guaranteed and must be confirmed by email. An agent will respond within 30 minutes to confirm whether the reservation can be processed.

 

Special luggage, such as surfboards, must be notified during the booking. Additional charges may apply. If the Client does not indicate additional luggage when booking, extra costs or service limitations may occur.

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all our vehicles.

Client Errors

It is the Client’s responsibility to provide accurate information at the time of booking. By submitting the information, the Client agrees that it is correct. A confirmation email will be sent upon booking, as well as a reminder before the service, allowing for changes if necessary.

Activities

  • To cancel tours, an email must be sent to info@wakingdreamscostarica.com at least 72 hours in advance. A refund will be issued for the total paid minus a 5% card processing fee.

  • Changes to activities must be requested 48 hours before the service.

  • If we must cancel a tour, an alternative or full refund will be offered.

  • No-shows for tours are considered cancellations and are non-refundable.

  • Once the tour has started, no refunds will be issued for unused portions.

Airport Pickup

Our team will be waiting outside either of the two airports upon your arrival and can be identified by our sign with the Waking Dreams Costa Rica logo.

Accommodation Pickup

Inform the property manager that our driver will pick you up. Provide clear instructions on how to reach the location, as well as a contact number. If a 4x4 vehicle is required, please notify us by email.

Final Statement

I declare that I have read and accepted all the above terms and conditions. I commit to paying the full amount for the requested service and accept the described cancellation and modification policies, including any additional charges that may apply depending on each provider.
