In the area of Bajos del Toro is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Costa Rica – the Toro Waterfall. This waterfall offers numerous opportunities for hiking and exploring! The largest waterfall in Costa Rica, where the water spills nearly three hundred feet into an extinct volcanic crater. There are trails that offer elevated viewpoints. You can also take a more challenging hike to the bottom of this beautiful waterfall. Along the way you will be able to spot many of the beautiful butterflies, tropical birds and lush plants of the area.

Bajos del Toro without a doubt one of my favorite places to enjoy an energetic day, with good company and the best of this spectacular place.

Bajos Del Toro is located practically on the slopes of the Poás volcano. One of the great advantages of visiting the area is the fact that it is on the way to La Fortuna, so it is the perfect place to add to your trip itinerary.
